Euskaletxeak.net, the new portal for Basque centers across the world
Euskaletxeak.net is the portal newly created by Basque centers in Uruguay, Argentina, North America, Venezuela and the Spanish Government, and in collaboration with the Basque Government’s Directorate for Relations with Basque Communities. Its aim is to strengthen ties between Basques on a global scale.

Euskaletxeak.net is the new portal designed to unite Basques, wherever they are in the world. This initiative came into being thanks to the Basque centers of Uruguay, Argentina, North America, Venezuela and the Spanish Government, with the assistance of the Basque Government.
Euskaletxeak.net está dividida en 4 secciones principales:
Euskaletxeak.net is divided into four main areas:
- Euskaletxeak Network: here members will find information of interest to them, as well as Basque centers currently active worldwide, and can carry out administrative procedures.
- News: dedicated to blogs and the latest news.
- Historical Memory: the aim of this area is to recover documents on the history of Basque exile and migration via research. It’s an open space in which you can contribute by posting photos, videos etc., as well as take part in other already active projects such as ‘Digital Uranzadi’ (digitization of Basque publications) or ‘Basques in the American Press’ (localization, digitization and archiving of Basque references in the American press), among others.
- Virtual Community: this area contains forums with a variety of discussion threads such as sports, gastronomy, culture, etc.
Members can express their ideas in Basque, Spanish, French and English, become familiar with those of other centers, and stay in touch with them.
