Deadline to take part in EuskoMovie extended

The deadline to take part in EuskoMovie has been extended until September 14. EuskoMovie is the first online short film contest organised by EuskoSare. This contest has been organised by the Cinema Section of Eusko Ikaskuntza in collaboration with the Basque Filmoteque.

The revisited deadlines are as follows:

• Receipt of videos: Videos must be sent in before Sunday, September 14 at midnight (Basque time).
• Voting: Visitors to the EuskoSare website will be able to choose the winner of the third category, Spectator Award, until September 28, by voting through an online system that will be available on www.euskosare.org. This system will close on September 28 at midnight.
• Jury´s verdict: This will be made public on September 29.
  
• In the unlikely event of a tie, the deadline will be extended until September 30 and voting will be permitted until September 29.
  

Works must be filmed with a phone, photo camera or camcorder and they must not exceed 2 minutes, including credits.

There are three categories: Best Short Film, Best Idea and Spectator´s Award. The prices are €600, €400 and €200. The jury will decide the winners of the first two categories and the public will be able to cast their vote via online voting. The theme of the projects must be related to the Basque way of life, e.g. basques and the sea, basque sports, famous basques, basque cuisine, etc...

Videos can be filmed in Basque, Spanish, French, English or be silent. Participants can send up to 5 works.

If you want to send a video, you must follow these steps:

• First step: if you want to take part, you must fill out the application form
• Second step: If you have already completed and sent your application form, a staff member from EuskoSare will contact you to discuss postage issues. There are two ways in which you can send in your work: via email or by post.
