Regis Philbin, is he really basque?

Regis Philbin, the famous Tv host of the United States appears on its show "Live with Regis and Kelly" staying he is really basque, will it be true?

We would like to thank Julian Abio (New York Basque Club) for having sent us this video of Regis with the tipical basque "txapela" and saying he is really basque.
