Three Basque Filmmakers in New York

The works `Badaezpada´ by Peio Varela and `Txakurkalea´ by David Cívico and Guillermo Sánchez were presented at New York Independent Film and Video Festival.

The Independent Film and Video Festival has recently taken  place at New York and three basque filmmakers have been there showing their works to the world.

Peio Varela has presented his work `Badaezpada´ which is based on Azorin´s `El vecino afectuoso´.
According to Varela, this work deals with romanticism which makes it really special.

The other work, `Txakurkalea´ has also been presented in New York. The story by David Cívico and Guillermo Sánchez is about dog´s and human´s  relationships in the old town of Bilbao. As well as mixing different genres it also involves several creative minds in the project such as, artists, musicians, a street singer…

It goes without saying that this is a wonderful way to show the Basque film production to the whole world.
